Howdy! My name is Kim, I live in Brooklyn and I have been making the crafty things since about age seven. I mostly knit, but also crochet, cook, glue, sew (although it's my weakest skill), make jewelry, fold things, dance (professionally and non professionally) and hang out with kids. I've been designing knitting patterns for a while now for various publications, but mostly Blue Sky Alpacas who I adore. Their yarns and artistic support are phenominal! Generally, I feel quite lucky in life.
What interests me most about crafting are the moments right before we make something... the inspiration, the "who's this for" and "what do they love" kind of questions and then the planning it takes to get the project on it's way. I think it's possible to find inspiration anywhere and that attempting to do so leads to a richer life. Why not fold your clothes according to color... it certainly makes me happier each time I look in the drawer!
